57. Except in the case provided for in section 63, the dissent shall take effect, for election purposes, thirty days before the third Sunday in November and, for all other purposes, on the next 1 July.

57. Except in the case provided for in section 63, the dissent shall take effect, for election purposes, 15 days before the date fixed for the election of the school commissioners and, for all other purposes, on 1 July following the date of the election.
